THE BOOK. “Tras los pasos de Samaniego, El Fabulista”
This book has been created to introduce children to the culture of wine, the history of Rioja Alavesa, and the figure of our illustrious fabulist, Félix María Samaniego.
His fables offer us teachings for life, morals to learn how to coexist, and wisdom to understand human behaviour. Let’s take advantage of this valuable legacy at home and at school and give it the educational value it deserves.
At Villa-Lucía and Bodega El Fabulista we wanted to compile twelve significant fables and tell them in a unique way that is easy to understand using Vinfos, our little wine elves. They help us tour the most emblematic places of this land related to the figure of Samaniego, endowing them with historical and cultural significance.
THE “¡PÁSALO DE FÁBULA!” EXPERIENCE.
This is the story of our wine culture and literature: the story of Félix María Samaniego. It tells us that his footsteps resound under his old home in the underground cellars of El Fabulista; that they can be traced through the medieval streets of the town of Laguardia, dotted with reminders and tributes to his figure; and that they include the aromas, tools, and traditions to discover the millenary culture of wine and local cuisine in Villa-Lucía. Shall we follow them together?
This is one of the various experiences and activities that we design for schoolchildren, as well as colonies and for the wine and cuisine, culture, leisure and fun workshops in which we merge these three elements for the enjoyment and instruction of the youngest members of the family. An experience that should be enjoyed with the family or with a school group.
